YOUTH CAMPS
The Assyrian Student Association of Arizona first began its camps program in November 2016. It has been the goal of the ASA to create the camps for the Assyrian youth of Arizona to promote the Assyrian culture and provide a platform that fosters learning in an enjoyable environment. In total, we have three camps for three different age groups: Camp Babel (ages 5-12), Camp Nineveh (ages 13-17), and lastly Camp Bet Nahrain (ages 18+). The purpose of these camps is to inspire passion for the Assyrian culture, to form bonds within the community, create an environment for learning, and to promote leadership qualities in all participants. The ASA hopes that our attendees find a feeling of connection not only to each other, but to the Assyrian culture.
-
Camp Babel
For ages 5–12, Camp Babel introduces children to Assyrian culture through fun, interactive activities. It fosters a sense of identity and community at an early age, helping kids connect with their heritage in an enjoyable and welcoming environment.
-
Camp Nineveh
For ages 13–17, Camp Nineveh offers teens the opportunity to deepen their connection to Assyrian culture while developing leadership skills and building lasting friendships. The camp combines cultural learning with engaging activities tailored to this age group.
-
Camp Bet Nahrain
For ages 18 and up, Camp Bet Nahrain is focused on cultural enrichment, personal growth, and leadership within the Assyrian community. Adult participants engage in workshops, discussions, and social activities that strengthen their connection to their heritage and to each other.
